Creative Colors International Extends Reach with Newest Franchise in Hawaii

The Industry Leader in On-Site Repair and Restoration Opens Business in Oahu

Oahu, HI - (October 24th, 2022) - Creative Colors International, the nation’s leading on-site repair and restoration franchise, officially launched its newest franchise in Hawaii on October 24th. CCI of Oahu is operated by island-native Greg Yamamoto.

Creative Colors International is the industry leader in leather repair, the mobile repair, reconditioning, protection and color restoration of leather, vinyl, fabric, plastic and carpeting in the automotive, furniture, commercial and residential markets. CCI has 75 locations with over 150+ mobile units serving 28 states and parts of Canada.

Yamamoto joins the CCI family after spending much of his career in sales, distribution, and customer service. However, auto detailing has been a hobby for him for nearly 30 years. Yamamoto has always taken pride in helping friends and family with their auto improvements. When the opportunity to turn to his passion into a business presented itself, he was elated to make the dream a reality.

“This is a first for me,” Yamamoto pointed out, “before if I had worked for somebody, I’d be a field sales guy. Or when I did my detailing, it was always by myself. For me to transition owning my own business like this and to get to the point where I can oversee employees, that’s kind of exciting! And being that it’s a business I’m familiar with, this step isn’t scary.”

Statistics suggest that repairing and restoring, as opposed to upholstering and replacing, can save local business owners and residents hundreds of dollars on any damaged item. For example, the costs associated with upholstering any type of seat can be very steep, ranging anywhere from $120 to $450 per cushion.

According to Creative Colors International Senior Vice President Terri Sniegolski, the commitment shared by all franchisees to help customers save money, and deliver on the company’s “We Can Fix That” philosophy, has been the key catalyst for the company’s expansion since its initial inception in 1980.

“Believe it or not, Greg is the first CCI franchisee who has extensive detailing experience in his past,” confessed Sniegolski. “When you combine his skill and background in sales and customer service, along with the respect he has from others in his community and desire to help people, we’re thrilled and looking forward to helping Greg grow his business.”

Yamamoto points out that word-of-mouth advertising and reputation is huge in Hawaii. He says he plans to begin by hiring friends or acquaintances that he has a rapport with.

“The trust factor [in Hawaii] is huge,” admitted Yamamoto. “In my sense in bringing on somebody that I know, I can rely on the fact that they’ll be up front and transparent. If they’re going to be willing to come on and work with me, I can be confident they’ll do a good job.”

Serving the automotive, commercial and furniture industries, Creative Colors International offers affordable solutions for tears, holes, scuffs, scratches and other damage found on leather, vinyl, plastic or fabric, through on-site repair, restoration, cleaning, dyeing and protection. About Creative Colors International

Launched in 1991, the Creative Colors International (CCI) franchise system was created through its affiliate, J&J’s Creative Colors, the original industry leader in refurbishment techniques and systems. Today, both companies continue to be family-owned and operated by the second generation. Catering to the abundance of upholstered items in every home, business and vehicle, CCI is the ultimate in on-site repair, restoration, cleaning, protection, and dyeing of leather, vinyl, plastic and fabric. Through proprietary technology, CCI restores damaged material at a fraction of replacement costs, saving customers up to 90 percent. CCI repairs are stronger than the original area and are nearly invisible to the naked eye. In the Automotive, Furniture, and Commercial Markets, CCI offers on-site repair and restoration to all types of leather, vinyl, fabric, plastic, and carpeting by repairing and re-dyeing holes, cuts, tears, burns, scrapes, fading, and discoloration.
