Focus on Aviation – Five of the Coolest Airline Interiors Ever

When most people picture amazing airplanes, they see the aircraft’s majestic exterior. At Creative Colors International, we are far more interested in the unique and decorative interiors that enhance the experience of flying.

Keeping airplane interiors looking like new is our business, but enjoying the design of these amazing airline interiors is our pleasure.

Here are five of our favorites!

The Concorde

Interior of ConcordeAérospatiale-BAC Concorde was a supersonic passenger jet airliner that flew from 1969 until 2003. The turbojet-powered plane had a maximum speed over twice the speed of sound at Mach 2.04. The interior featured 100 leather seats in the 2×2 formation and was certainly a bit cramped compared to today’s standards, but you could travel at 1,300 mph and not even feel it. Plus, it featured a digital gauge at the front of the cabin so you could monitor how fast you were going. Cool!

Virgin Atlantic’s Upper-Class Suite

Interior of Virgin Atlantic upper class suite airplaneUpholstered in cool espresso leather, this palace in the sky is featured on all A330 flights from London’s Heathrow to New York’s JFK and back. Other luxuries include in-seat power, a flip-down cocktail table, adjustable reading light, two ottomans for storage and the new AeroMobile system that allows passengers to make and receive cell phone calls in flight.

The Boeing Dreamliner

Elvis Presley’s Lisa Marie Convair 880 Jet

Elvis Presley Plane InteriorIt’s good to be king! Elvis liked to travel in style, and the “Lisa Marie” is decked out in all the luxuries you’d expect. It included leather seating, solid gold seat belt buckles, and this “penthouse” bedroom with a queen-sized bed and executive bathroom featuring gold faucets.

Versace Airbus A319 Corporate Jet

Interior of Versace Airbus A319Is there any name better associated with luxury design than Versace? They teamed with TAG aircraft interiors a few years back to create these elegant designs inspired by their home couture collection. The seats? A beautiful, soft leather, of course!

How about you? What’s your favorite airline interior? Perhaps you’re an avid airplane repo fan and you’ve found a private jet with a custom-design you love that you could share? We’d love to see it!
